consisting of the subgroups, upper arm, lower
arm, wrist, thumb, first finger, second finger,
third, fourth, and palm; right leg and left leg,
with the subgroups of thigh, knee, calf, ankle,
heel and toes; trunk, with the subgroups of for-
ward bend, backward bend, bend to right, bend
to left, twist to right, twist to left, hump, and
shrug; head, with the subgroups of forward bend,
backward bend, turn to the right, turn to the left,
and mouth; eyes, with the subgroups of ball,
pupil and lens. There should also be the general
heading of inspection, with the subdivisions of
see, smell, touch, taste, hear, blow and count; and
the heading posture with the subdivisions of sit,
stand, kneel, stoop, right forearm supported, left
forearm supported, right hand supported, left
hand supported, back supported and head sup-
ported, etc.
Charting the data in this manner makes it
possible at a glance to visualise a simultaneous
cycle and the elements of the cycle of work done.
The various motion cycles in the method under
investigation are analysed into these elements.
