Shift-keys are provided at each end of the keyboard, and keys at the upper corners of the manual are provided, that on the left side for the shift-lock, that on the right for marginal releasing. The space-bar is not so long and not so short, as in some machines, and an effort is thus made to meet the wishes of those who prefer either sort.
