364 Dubs & Co., Glasgow Locomotive Works, Glasgow.—Working Model of a Portable
Engine made by Burmese Weaver Boy about 18 years of age, who was without
any mechanical training whatever. Tbe Tools used in construction were also
made by the boy. The Boiler is made from an old paint keg, the Pump from lead
obtained from some bullets. It is of interest as showing what untutored
mechanical instinct is capable of accomplishing. (See Advt., page 279.)
