Brown some years later, has had a more varied scope, including in its interests reform and humanitarian action. To this club is owing the appointment PAINTING—“FRANCE ON THE WAY TO THE CHICAGO EXPOSITION.” LOUISE ABBEMA. of matrons on the Chicago police force, a measure which has been attended with very good results.
