Knudshoved.
Knudshoved is on the East coast of the island of Fyen in Lat. 55° 18'
N., Long 10° 52' E. and is a pier built out in the Great Belt. It is only used
for the steamers belonging to the State Railways. There are 18 feet of water
at the end of the pier.
Kolding.
Kolding is situated at the head of the bay of the same name, on
the East coast of Jutland in Lat. 55° 30' N„ Long. 9° 30' E. The entrance
to the bay is from the Little Belt, and a wide channel with 5 fathoms of
water runs up to within a mile and a half of the town. From this place
a dredged channel with 23 feet of water runs up to the harbour, where
up to 20 feet of water will be found at the wharves. The wharves are
5 to 6 feet above sea level and are provided with railroad tracks. There
is a 6 ton crane, four fair sized tugboats, an ice breaker, and three machine
shops. Coal, provisions and water can be obtained. Time signal regulated
by Greenwich mean noon.

Korsør.
Korsør in Lat. 55° 20' N., Long. IP 8’ E. on the West coast of Sjæl-
land. 21 feet of water in the harbour and at some of the wharves. The
wharves are 5% to 6 feet above water and provided with railroad tracks.
A salvage steamer (»Svitzer«) is stationed in this harbour and there is also
a tugboat. Coal, provisions and water are plentiful. Two machine shops
and one foundry. Time signal regulated by Greenwich mean noon. Pilotage
is compulsory.
