complete with printed side up delivery, guaranteed speed, 1900 sheets
per hour. Specially adapted for half tone and three-colour work.
2. No. 2 “Century” Press, size of bed, 36"x48", size of forme, 31"x44’,
Guaranteed speed, 2400 sheets per hour. Specially adapted for jobbing
work. Suitable for half-tone and three-colour work at very high speeds.
3. Altimographie Rotary Press, to take a sheet 33" x 46", capable of printing
high-class Litho, work from Aluminium plates, at from 1400 to 1800
per houx’.
4. Quad-crown Wharfedale Machine, by David Payne & Co., Ltd., of Otley,
fitted with all the latest improvements.
5. Two Duplex Linotype Composing Machines, with all latest improvements.
Fully equipped for newspaper and book work.
The above Machines are each driven by one of The Machinery Trust’s
specially designed Electric Motor Outfits.
6. Two “Johnston ” Die Presses, one typo “ A ” taking any size copper or steel
plate, or steel die, up to 3|"x6|"(from 1 inch square). One type “B”
taking any size Co] pe • or Steel Plate or Steel Die up to 8|" x 5".
Both the above iressaj are designed and buiit specially for printing
direct from Copper and Steel Plates; now used for transferring and
lithographing Bank Notes, Cheques, Insets or Frontispieces for Book
illustration and all high-class stationery, or from plates now printed by old
hand process. Rapid change from either copper plate to steel plate or
steel die. Speed, 1500 and 1300 impressions per hour respectively. Both
Presses ink, wipe, and print automatically, by power.
The above Machinos are driven by an Electric Motor belted to Shafting.
