the overhead travellers. A second line, parallel with the
first, runs between the shops and the smiths’ annexe, and
can be utilisée! for siding space.
The shops are lighted at night by electricity, the
and 150 similar lights in tlie offices. The incandescent
lamps are furnished with current at 110 volts from a
separate 45 liorse-power engine and dynamo. During
the day this dynamo supplies current to the electric

current being supplied from dynamos, which besides
furnishing power for the traveller motors, feeds 60 arc
lamps distributed in the varions shops and grouped by
circuits of 10 ; no transformers are used. There are,
besides, 400 incandescent lamps for lighting machine tools
