Schneider and Co. are putting down at Cette, on. the Mediterranean coast, a very large plant for the manufacture of pig-iron, steel, and rolied bars and plates. These Works will be served by the Paris-Lyons^ Mediterranean, and by the South of France Railways; by the Cette-Rhône and the South France Canals, and by the Cette Harbour. The position of these works is marked on the map at the commencement of this volume. LUL-CHAMPAGNE WORKS (SEINE ET MARNE). Messrs Schneider and Co., are also putting down at Champagne, in the Department of Seine et Marne, near Paris, extensive shops for the construction of electric machines. These shops will be situated on the border of the navigable Seine and on the Railway line from Melun to Montereau ; in first-class positions, therefore, as regards transport. The position of these works is marked on the map at the commencement of this volume.
