— - INFORMATION ((1915J| for EXHIBITORS -----—----- W !——— — been impossible but for the advances made in hygiene, one of the many subjects to be treated. Every effort will be made to secure exhibit material especially selected on the basis of unusual merit and to encourage the cooperation of exhibitors. This plan will also eliminate needless duplication and make possible the presentation of each subject in the most logical and intelligible manner, thus adding immensely to the edu- cational value of the exhibit as a whole. Of especial interest to the public at large will be illustrations of “ Welfare Work” in the great indus- trial centers of the world. It will be shown how the employers have joined in providing better facilities un- der which wage-earners can work and live. These em- brace improved ventilation and sanitary arrangements in factories and mines, etc., economical and wholesome food supplies, and properly equipped, dwelling houses. These wise provisions are not only humanitarian and praiseworthy, but are proving good business policy be- cause they result in healthy and contented employees who render far more efficient service and are at the same time imbued with a spirit of friendly interest in the prosperity of their employers. Liberal Arts IN THE domain of Liberal Arts the exhibits will be notably interesting and significant, indicating that the agencies of progress have been continuously at work. They will embrace the most important combina- tions of Art and Industry, of Scientific activity and
