THE MODERN “POHLÊ AIR LIFT.”
Dr. Julius G. Pohlé, the inventor and patentee of the “Pohlé Air
Lilt system of pumping, was associated with this company until his
death in 1896, since which time his system has been further improved
and developed by a wider application and broader experience.
POHLE AIR LIFT PUMP PATENTS.
The Ingersoll Sergeant Drill Company, until recently the sole
licensee, has now purchased all right, title and interest in patents
No. 347,196, August 10, 1886; No. 487,639, December 6, 1892, and
No. 532,699, January 15, 1895, comprising the invention of Dr. Julius
G. Pohlé for lifting water by compressed air. These patents are
broad and fundamental, covering the most economical and the most
simple means by which the Air Lift may be utilized.
From time to time imitations have appeared, but no one has de-
vised a system as simple or economical as that thoroughly covered by
the Pohlé patents, which are now the property of the Ingersoll-Ser-
geant Drill Company. For this reason all Air Lift plants furnished
In us are hilly protected against infringement suits, to which pur-
chasers of other systems are liable.
On pages 38 and 39 is a reproduction of Patent No. 487 639 dnfpd
