He may be assured that nothing could be of better service to him in the long run than an object-lesson of this kind, showing that he is quite prepared for less out- put in an operation for the sake of the smaller amount of fatigue generally caused to the operator, and that he knows it will not “ pay,” in any sense, to have an over-fatigued worker.
