Graphite, from which the lead is formed, is found in
varying degrees of purity in many parts of the world.
The finest grades come from Ceylon and Mexico. From
Crude Graphite
the mines it is taken to the mills where it is refined
free1 it of all foreign material, and in the process
reduced to an impalpable powder of absolute purity.
