Fredericia.
Fredericia is situated at the entrance to the Little Belt from the
Kattegat in Lat. 55° 34' N., Long. 9° 45' E. There are 18 feet of water
in the old harbour with 19 feet at the entrance, and 25 feet in the new
harbour. Railroad tracks on the wharves, an 8 ton crane, machine shop
and iron foundries are found here. Coal, provisions and water are plentiful.

Frederikshavn.
Frederikshavn is situated on the East coast of Jutland, in Lat. 57°
26' N., Long. 10° 33' E. There are 26 feet of water in the outer and in some
parts of the inner harbour. Even at the lowest tide, the entrance is safe
for vessels drawing 23 feet. Pilots can be obtained from the cutter sta-
tioned at the Scaw, and at the harbour. The services of a tugboat can be
obtained. Coal, provisions and water are plentiful. Railroad tracks on
wharf. A floating dry dock with 1700 tons lifting capacity, shops for hull
or engine repairs. Direct steamer connection with Copenhagen, Christiania,
Christianssand, Gothenburg and Newcastle. A salvage steamer »Svitzer«
is stationed at the port. Time signals and facilities for adjustment of
compasses. Storm signals displayed.

Gfedser is situated on the South coast of the island of Falster in
Lat. 54° 34' N., Long. 11° 56' E. The depth of the harbour is 16 feet,
the water is rather rough with strong winds on-shore. Only small quantities
