MOORE’S MODERN METHODS, LIMITED, London,
E.C.4, featured the range of Record Keeping Books and Ledgers,
Nimblex Visible Loose Leaf Books, and Moorespeed Rapid
Loose Leaf Books for machine accounting.
MULDIVO CALCULATING MACHINE COMPANY,
LIMITED, London, E.C.4, had a comprehensive exhibit of hand
and electrically-operated Muldivo Calculating Machines,
including the Muldivo Super Automatic Electric Machine. I»
the lever setting range all machines have been fitted with a new»
automatic carriage and one half turn for full clearing in carriage
dials. In the selection of keyboard machines the Super-Auto-
matic Muldivo has several new refinements for ease of operation.
The Duplex Model has all the features of the Super-Automatic,
and an additional feature is the accumulating dials. In the
KME Models electric clearance of carriage dials and electric
movement of carriage are new features. Barrett Adding
Machines are now fitted with direct subtraction.
NATIONAL CASH REGISTER COMPANY, LIMITED,
London, W.l, were showing an extensive range of National Cash
Registers and Accounting Machines. The Cash. Registers
displayed included the Class 1900 and the Class 6000 Models.
The Audit-Strip and Ticket Printing Cash Register was also
shown.
NATIONAL LOOSE LEAF COMPANY, LIMITED, London,
E.C.4, featured an extensive range of National Loose Leaf Books,
Visible Equipment and Ring Binders. The display included
the new Aladdin Bilock Ledger, which is now equipped with the
double-action Bilock mechanism. The patented Blue Diamond
Loose Leaf Binder requires no key to lock or unlock the
mechanism. The National Minute Books without key locks
were also on display. In addition, National Record Forms for
road and rail traffic were included in the display.
NEW ERA TIME & TELEPHONE SYSTEMS, Manchester,
interested visitors in their line of Automatic Telephones,
including Inter-Departmental Telephones and Synchronised
Time and Signalling Devices.
POWERS-SAMAS ACCOUNTING MACHINES, LIMITED,
London, W.C.2, were showing Powers Accounting Machines,
and the exhibit included the Powers-Four Automatic Key Punch,
which is entirely automatic in action and is invaluable in all
cases where speed of punching is of paramount importance.
The Powers New Hand Verifier guarantees the complete verifi-
cation of every punching position on the card. A recent product
of this manufacturer is the Powers-Samas Tabulator, listing and
totalling at the rate of 7,500 cards per hour. This machine can
now be fitted with an illuminated designator, which shows to
the operator the cards as they are ready in the tabulator for
ledger posting.
♦ RELIANCE TELEPHONE COMPANY, LIMITED, London,
VICK, ASHWORTH & COMPANY, LIMITED, Salford,
Manchester, featured Vicash Stationery, Filing Systems and

TOLLIT & HARVEY, LIMITED, London, E.C.2, were
showing a variety of Analysis and Loose Leaf Books, including
the new Sterling Loose Leaf Books. The Flyleaf Binder, which
is a new product of this firm, also formed part of the exhibit.
UNDERWOOD ELLIOTT FISHER, LIMITED, London,
E.C.4, featured Underwood Standard and Portable Typewriters,
and the Noiseless line. In addition to Portables, the new Model
Standard Noiseless was displayed. The range of Underwood-
Sundstrand Adding and Accounting Machines includes the
Multi Register, the special features of which are multiple
computing register, automatic control of seventeen different
operating functions, new front feed carriage ensuring complete
visibility of all work during operation. Underwood Accounting
and Continuous Form Writing Machines for a variety of purposes
were also demonstrated to visitors, including the new Simplex
Model equipped with column adding and subtracting register.
Elliott Fisher Accounting and Invoice-Writing Machines with
many exclusive features formed part of the exhibit, and the
Hooven Automatic Typewriter, the only machine of its class,
attracted much attention from the public.
UNIVERSAL POSTAL FRANKERS, LIMITED, London,
W.l, displayed Universal Postal Franking Machines, which
included the Universal Midget, the new Model H, the Multi-
Value Electric Model, and the High Speed Model A. The Model
A Pitney-Bowes seals and franks envelopes at the rate of 25,000
per hour. A feature of this exhibit was the first Franking
Machine, an Electric Model NZ, supplied to Marconi’s Wireless
Telegraph Company, Limited, London, and used from 1923 to
1934. This machine was recently replaced by a Multi-Value
Model electrically operated.
Cross Balancing Machine which gives a daily balancing of all
customers’ ledger accounts. Dalton 10-Key Adding Machines^,
formed part of the exhibit.
L C SMITH & CORONA TYPEWRITERS, LIMITED,
London, W.C.2, were displaying the range of Corona Portable
and L C Smith Standard Typewriters. In the new Silent L C
Smith Model noise in operation has been reduced. The Corona
line included the Four, Special, Silent and Sterling Models. The
Maxispeed Attachment and Cartonia Indicator System were
shown to visitors.' The range of Marchant Calculating Machines,
including hand and electrically-operated models, were also on
display. To attract the attention of visitors an operator typed
on an L C Smith machine, and the letters were simultaneously
flashed on to an electrically-illuminated board.
TAN-SAD CHAIR COMPANY (1931), LIMITED, London,
E.C.l, displayed the wide range of Tan-Sad Chairs, including
the Secretarial and Executive Models.
