Carpenter’s Plane, found in the wreck of one of the vessels of the
Spanish Armada, sunk in Vigo Bay. The difference between the handle
and the position of the planing iron of this plane, and of the present-day
plane will be apparent.
Officer’s Sword from the French Man-of-War
L’Orient, Admiral’s Flagship, which blew up during
the fight with Nelson’s Ships at the Battle of the
Nile, 1st August, 1798; recovered by a Diver in 1890
