THE LIGHT OF THE SEVEN SEAS
BOILER MAKERS AND VACLITE
With its absence of odor and smoke, Vaclite guarantees good air and good lighting
to boiler makers
Vaclite for Fire Brigades
Nearly two hundred fire brigades, including the London Salvage Corps, have
adopted Vaclite throughout their stations and equipment.
It may be of interest to you to know that Vaclite is showing me a 20 per cent,
saving in cost over the oil previously used, added to which the light furnished is
nearly double. I have particularly noticed that when subjected to a severe smoky
atmosphere, as it frequently is, the light maintains its brilliancy, whereas my pre-
vious experience with oil has been that under such conditions the light invariably
became dim and usually went out altogether. I shall not hesitate to thoroughly
recommend it wherever I can.

Shanghai Fire Brigade Replaces Oil Lamps
Your Vaclite has been used by this Brigade for over four years with every
satisfaction and practically all our oil lamps have been fitted for burning Vaclite
as I find the latter is far superior for our purposes to kerosene. It is not liable to
spill and the flame is very white and clear, and, moreover, it is quite safe to use.
