Ce sont les «Servîtes» qui les premiers ont provoqué le mouvement ayant pour objet de laisser les églises ouvertes toute la journée, afin que les croyants qui cherchent des consolations dans la bonté et la miséricorde divines, ne trouvent pas portes closes dans les sanctuaires consacrés au Tout-Puissant. THE INTERIOR OF THE SERVITTAN CHURCH, BUDAPEST. — We present here again a sacred hall, dedicated to divine service, which is worthy of the hallowed spirit flowing from the altar of the holy Trinity. This Church, the property of the Order of Servittans, is one of the oldest parish churches in the Hungarian Capital. Mighty arches, lighted by the sun’s rays passing through stained glass windows, ornamental columns, sacred reliquies and statues of the blessed Saints fill the breast of the faithful with piety. The Order of the Servittans was the first to open their churches to the worshippers during the whole day, in order, that they might be able to worship at the sacred shrines, whenever they felt induced to do so.
