74 Parly Work in Photography. In some other cases—especially in open landscape—it may be desirable to secure more foreground than appears when the camera is absolutely level. In this case he may lower the lens front, by pushing it downwards. If it becomes necessary to tilt the camera (front downwards) he must still level the focussing screen by pulling it away from the lens and clamping it directly it is perpendicular. Remember the golden rule: Always see that the focussing screen is truly perpendicular before exposing a plate.
