These particular machines are arranged to travel around a sharp corner in the store ground, and also to stand at varying angles to the track. Two machines can stand at such angles that the grabs can work from the same hold, but discharge the coal to different portions of the yard. The advantage of such an arrangement is readily under- stood. Similar conditions can be obtained when loading vessels from the store.
