Egy ilyen templomot mutatunk be itt, mely a Fekete-Tisza volgyének fohelységében, a Lazecsina vôlgyéig elhüzödö Körösmezön van. KÖRÖSMEZÖER RUTHENISCHE KIRCHE. — Von Mårmaros-Sziget Über Nagy- Bocskd führt die jüngst erbaute Grenzlinie der kgl. ungar. Staatsbahnen durch aas wildromantische Tisza (Theiss)-Thal nach Körösmezö. Zackige Bergriesen umsäumen das enge Waldthal, in welchem die prachtvollen Blumenteppiche der Alpenweiden, dann mittels Schleussen hervorgezauberte Bergteiche, sowie zerstreut umherliegende ruthe-- nische und rumänische Dörfer mit unregelmässigen hölzernen Wohnhäusern und bizarr geformten, gleichfalls aus Holz erbauten Kirchen dem Auge eine interessante Abwechslung bieten. Unser Bild zeigt einen derartigen originellen Kirchenbau der Ruthenen in Körösmezö, dem Hauptorte des Thales der «Schwarzen Tisza». ^ L’ÉGLISE RUTHÉNE DE KÖRÖSMEZÖ. — La nouvelle ligne construite récemment à la frontière par les chemins de fer de l'Etat hongrois, dans la vallée romantique de la Tisza, nous conduit de Marmaros-Sziget, par Nagy-Bocskö à Körösmezö. Les sites les plus pittoresques se déroulent aux regards charmés des voyageurs qui tra- versent cette étroite vallée bordée 'de hautes montagnes aux cimes dentelées; de nombreux vallons avec leurs verts pâturages émaillés de fleurs alpines, se succèdent tour à tour, puis on aperçoit disséminés cà et là, des villages ruthénes et roumains avec leurs maisons et leurs églises en bois. Notre illustration représente une de ces ■églises originales, celle de Körösmezö localité notable de la vallée de la «Tisza noire». THE RUTHENIAN CHURCH OF KÖRÖSMEZÖ. — From M.-Sziget, through Nagy- bocskö, the frontier line of the State railways runs, accross the of the Theiss, to Körösmezö. This narrow sylvan valley is hned by g^n^c ragged cliffs, but the balmy alpine air and flowery giens in their splendour ojc°10^ with the glittering lakes in the dark verdure of the forest, makes the travel'e^ f°^et the horrors of the wilderness.
