Mert mindegyik oly szép a maga nemében, hogy nem tudunk betelni a làtàsàval. A Dunakorzö, a mely a büszke pompâban fejlôdô fö- es székvâros legcsodålatosabb, legnagyszerübb helye, minden részletében megérdemelné, hogy külön kép vétessék fel rôla és hogy gyônyôrkôdjék benne az egész vilåg. Az elôttünk fekvö részlet ügy arçhitektonikus, mint tàjképi tekintetben elragadd. Az elôtérben all az Elsö Magyar Altalànos Biztositd Tårsasåg palotåja. Ez az intézet Magyarorszåg- nak legrégibb, legszolidabb, legtekintélyesebb pénzintézeteinek egyike. EINE PARTIE AM DONAUCORSO IN BUDAPEST. — Man mag sagen, was man will, die Perle von ganz Budapest ist und bleibt doch der unvergleichliche Donau- quai, gewöhnlich «Corso» genannt. Es ist, wie wenn man sich immer magnetisch an die reizenden Donauufer der ungarischen Hauptstadt hingezogen fühlte, mit ihren Palästen und Squares, Statuen und Prachtausblicken. Auch wir geben diesmal ein zweites Bild vom «Corso». Es ist das architektonisch sehr bemerkenswerthe Palais der «Ersten ungarischen Versicherungsgesellschaft». Diese Anstalt gehört bekanntlich zu den ältesten, vornehmsten und solidesten des Ungarlandes. Das umfangreiche Gebäude dient ausschliesslich den Zwecken der Gesellschaft. 'i*.. -^ '7^7 * 1^- VUE D’UNE PARTIE DES QUAIS DE LA RIVE GAUCHE DU DANUBE, CONNUE SOUS LE NOM DE «CORSO». — Avec ses nombreux palais, squares, statues et points de vue admirables, la partie des quais de la rive gauche du Danube, connue sous le nom de «Corso», est sans contredit, la partie de Budapest qui offre le plus d’attraits aussi bien pour les habitants de Budapest que pour les étrangers. Nous croyons donc aller au- devant du désir de nos lecteurs, en leur offrant une deuxième illustration d’une partie des quais de la rive gauche du Danube soit cette fois, le magnifique palais, d’architecture très décorative, de la I-ère Societé d’assurances hongroise. Il est notoire que cette Societé d’assurances compte parmi les plus anciennes et les plus florissantes de la Hongrie. PART OF THE CORSO ON THE RIVERBANK. - Like the historical group at the Milennary Exhibition, this Corso continually occupies our mind, and compels us fre- quently to return to it to illustrate some new parts of it, each section of it presenting peculiar features of beauty, which deserve to be pointed out. This Corso, the most wonderful and grandest part of the proudly and magnificently rising Metropolis, is well worth to be represented by a picture of its own, in all its details. The section before us is enchanting, both with regard to its architectural beauty and its panoramic features. In the foreground stands the palace of the First Hungarian General Insurance Co, which is one of Hungary’s oldest, best founded and most important institutions of its kind.
