TERSATO. — Am östlichen Ende von Fiume, oberhalb der Louisenstrasse und des engen Fiumara-Thales ragt auf einem Berge die altehrwürdige Burg Tersato empor, von deren Zinnen sich eine feenhafte Fernsicht auf den Golf von Fiume bietet. Die Burg stammt noch aus römischen Zeiten und hat eine an Ereignissen reiche Geschichte. Die Burg war seit dem XIII. Jahrhunderte Eigenthum der Fürsten Frangepan und ist seit 1821 in Händen der gräflichen Familie Nugent. Reiche culturhistorische Schätze, die hier im Laufe von Jahrhunderten aufgestap- pelt lagen, kaufte die Regierung für das Nationalmuseum in Agram an. TERSATO. — A l’extrémité Est de Fiume, en amont de la route »Louise» et de l’étroite vallée de la Fiumara, s’élève, sur la montagne du Karst, le vieux donjon dit «Tersato», par les ouvertures crénelées duquel, une vue féérique s’étend au loin sur le golfe de Fiume. A cet ancien château qui date encore du temps des romains, se rattachent nombre d’événements historiques. Depuis le XlII-ème siècle, propriété de la famille des princes Frangepan, il devint, en 1821 propriété de la famille des comtes Nugent. Les richesses historiques qui y étaient accu- mulées depuis des siècles, ont été acquises pour le musée national de Zagrâb. TERSATO. — On the eastern border of the territory of Fiume, on the hill above the Louisen street and the narrow Fiumara valley, rises the ancient and vene-» rable castle ot Tersato, from the battlements of which a fairy view of the Golf of Fiume is obtained. The castle dates from the Roman times, and possesses a history rich in important events. Since the XIII. century it was owned by the princes of Frangipani, but in 1821 it came into the possession of the Counts ot Nugent. The rich treasures of cultural history, which accumulated there during centuries, were purchased by the Government for the National Museum at Agram.
