BÂRTFA RÉGI VÂROSHÂZA. — Bârtfa Sârosmegyében a Tapoly vôlgyében fekvô, fallal keritett, régi csinos vâros. Lcgérdekesebb a piacza, a melynek kôzepén a XIII. vagy XIV. szàzadbdl valô gotikus Szt. Egyed plébâniatemplom s a XVI. szàzadbdl valô s eredeti âllapotâban fentartott tùlnyomoan fâbôl épült vâroshâza, amelyet képünk âbrâzol. A vâroshâzânak nevezetes levéltâra van, a mely kultur- tôrténeti szcmpontbol szâmos, nagybecsü s a hisztorikusnak megbecsülhetlen adatokat tartalmaz. A kôzépkor hangulata tâmad fel mindenkiben, a ki ezt az ddon épületet nézi s az elmult idole régi alakjai szôlnak hozzank ez ôsdi falak közt. DAS ALTE RATHHAUS IN BARTFELD (BÂRTFA.) — Bartfeld ist ein im Såroser Comitat gelegenes, noch mit alten Mauern umgebenes Städtchen an der Tapoly. Das Interessanteste daran ist der Hauptplatz, dessen Mitte die griechische St. Egydiuskirche aus dem XIII. oder XIV. Jahrhundert einnimmt, so wie das charakteristische, aus dem sechzehnten Jahrhundert stammende, grösstentheils aus Holz gebaute Rathhaus, das unser Bild darstellt. In diesem Gebäude befindet sich auch ein kulturhistorisch hochbedeutendes Archiv, dass viele für unsere Geschichte unschätzbare Dokumente birgt. 'V L’ANCIEN HÔTEL DE VILLE DE BÂRTFA. — La petite ville de Bârtfa située sur la Tapoly dans le comitat de Sàros, est encore aujourd'hui entourée de vieux remparts ; la partie la plus intéressante est la grande place au milieu de laquelle, s’élèvent l’église grecque St. Egyde, dont la construction remonte an Xlll-emc ou au XlV-ème siècle, et l’hôtel de ville qui, comme toutes les constructions du XVI-ème siècle, est en grande partie en bois. Dans ce bâtiment de construction très caractéristique, sont renfermées de précieuses archives de la plus haute valeur historique. THE OLD TOWN-HALL OF BÀRTFA. — Bârtfa is a pretty ancient walled-in town of the county of Sàros, situated in the Tapoly valley. The most interesting part of it is the market place with the Gothic parish churh of St. Egydius, of the Xllith and XIVth century, and the town-hall dating from the XVIth century, built in great part of wood, and preserved in its original form, as shewn on our illustration. The town-hall possesses a very valuable archive of documents and records, contain- ing a large amount of priceless informations and facts bearing on our cultural history. These ancient walls, with their contents, awaken in our mind medieval visions.
