DIE ELEKTRISCHE UNTERGRUNDBAHN. — Eine der grössten Merkwürdigkeiten der ungarischen Hauptstadt ist die elektrische Untergrundbahn, welche vom Gisella- platz zum Millenniums-Ausstellungsplatz führt. Unser Bild stellt jenen Punkt der Bahn dar, wo dieselbe wieder die Erdoberfläche betritt, also die Nahe des Aus- stellungsgebietes. Diese Bahn wird schon demnächst eine der unentbehrlichsten Massen- v erkeh^smittel nach jenem prachtvollen Schauplatz werden. Diese Bahn wurde vom Unternehmer RobertWünsch gebaut und hat 3.600,000 fl. gekostet. Das grossartigeWerk steht in jeder Beziehung auf der Höhe der modernsten technischen Errungenschaften. - w^s ^r^^ w^x LE CHEMIN DE FER ÉLECTRIQUE SOUTERRAIN A BUDAPEST, est une des curiosités les plus remarquables de la capitale hongroise; établi dans presque toute sa longueur sur le parcours de l'avenue Andråssy, il conduit de la place Gisele a 1 ex- position Millénaire. Our illustration represents that point, where the line leaving the ground cornes up to the surface and reaches the terminus of the line at the Exhibition grounds. This underground railway will be a real boon to the visitors of the Exhibition forming an inestimable means of communication between the centre of the town and the Exhibition. The line was constructed by Robert Wünsch the contractor at an expenditure of 3.600.000 florins. The work which is now perfectly finished, is one of the great feats of modern engineering skill.
