DIE RUINEN DER BURG TRENCSÉN. — Reich ist das berühmte Vâgthal an Ruinen mittelalterlicher Ritterburgen, aber der imposantesten eine ist doch jene, welche sich knapp über der königlichen Freistadt Trencsén erhebt, deren Ursprung noch in die Römerzeit hinaufreicht. Die Burg wurde vor einem Jahr- tausend durch die tapferen Heere Arpads den Slaven entrissen. Eine roman- tische Sage knüpft sich an ihren 150 Meter tiefen Brunnen. Die colossale Ruine liegt an der Strecke Galantha—Zsolna der kön. ung. Staatsbahnen, und ist von Budapest in 5, von Zsolna in 1V2 Stunden zu erreichen. LES RUINES DE L’ANCIEN CHATEAU FÉODAL DE TRENCSÉN. - Parmi les ruines de châteaux du moyen-âge dont la vallée de la Vâg est si riche, Jes plus importantes sont sans contredit celles du château de Trencsén situées à proximité de la ville. Ce çhâteau a été enlevé aux Slaves il y a mille ans par les armées valeureuses d’Arpâd. C’est de ce fief, que Mathieu Csàk «le fameux comte de Trencsén» osa défier le Roi Robert. On arrive à ces ruines situées sur le parcours de la ligne Galantha—Zsolna des chemins de fer de l’Etat hongrois, en 5 heures de Budapest et en 1 heure Va de Zsolna.
