Aber äusser den herrlichen nur für die Dauer der Ausstellung berechneten zahlreichen Bauten hat dieselbe auch solche Schöpfungen gereift, die der Hauptstadt dauernd erhalten bleiben und so das Andenken an das grosse Milleniumsja.hr für ewige Zeiten festhalten werden. Von diesen Schöpfungen ist eine der denkwürdigsten die neue stabile Brücke über den Stadtwäldchenteich neben der prachtvollen Halle des Schlittschuhlaufvereines. Die Brücke wurde nach dem Entwürfe Constantin Zielinszky’s von der Schlick’schen Eisengiesserei erbaut. LE NOUVEAU PONT DE L’EXPOSITION SUR LE LAC DU BOIS DE VILLE A BUDAPEST. — Parmi les superbes constructions établies au bois de ville pour l’exposition millénaire et les fêtes nationales, quelques-unes d’entre elles ayant pro- voqué de notables transformations dans l’intérêt de cette promenade publique, et re- vêtant un caractère définitif, seront conservées à la Ville; tel par exemple le nouveau pont établi sur le lac à proximité du gracieux pavillon de l’association des patineurs et dont notre illustration reproduit le dessin. — Ce pont d’une construction monu- mentale, conduit directement à l’ile du Palatin et à l’exposition même. Il a été pro- jeté par Mr. Constantin Zielinszky et construit par la Maison Schlick. THE BRIDGE OVER THE LAKE IN THE TOWN-PARK, BUDAPEST. — Among the new créations of the Exhibition, are some of a permanent character, which will remind the future generations of the efforts made by the Nation, to worthily com- memorate her Millenary. One of these creations is the bridge erected over the lake, as shown on our picture. In the fore-ground, the fine skating-rink is visible, and from there the bridge, with its commodious roadways stretches accross to the other bank. It reflects much credit on hungarian building art, and shows the great progress we have made in iron constructions. This fine bridge was designed by Constantine Zielinszky C. E., and constructed by Schlick and Co’s.iron factory.
