ZBORÖ-VÄRROM. — Az eperjes-bårtfai vasut Bàrtfa végållomåsåtdl alig 10—12 klm.-nyire, a Breznik-patak mellett terül el Zborö, melynek déli oldalån emelkednek ki egy erdovel boritott hegy magaslatån a hasonnevü vår komor romjai. BURGRUINE ZBORÔ. — Kaum 10—12 Km. von der Endstation der Eisenbahn Eperjes-Bårtfa, im Thale des Breznik-Baches liegt der Marktflecken Zborö. An der südlichen Seite dieser Ortschaft, am Gipfel eines waldbedeckten Berges erhebt sich die düstere Ruine der gleichnamigen Burg. Dieselbe gehörte einst der Familie Serédy und gelangte dann käuflich in den Besitz des Fürsten Georg Ràkôczy I., welcher die Burg befestigen liess und glänzend eingerichtet, zu seinem ständigen Sitze erwählte. Ausserhalb der Mauern des später im Dorfe selbst errichteten zweiten Castelles stehen die berühmten alten 100 Linden, woher Georg Ràkôczy seine Briefe — Datum sub centum tiliis — zu datiren pflegte. LES RUINES DU CHATEAU DE ZBORÖ. — A environ 10 ou 12 kilomètres de la station terminus du chemin de fer Eperjes—Bàrtfa, dans la vallée de la Breznîk, se trouve le bourg de Zborö. — Du côté sud de cette localité, s’élèvent sur le sommet d’un mont boisé, les ruines d’aspect sévère du château dit de Zborö qui faisait autre- fois partie des vastes domaines de la famille Serédy. Devenu ensuite la propriété du prince Georges Ràkôczy I. celui-ci le fit fortifier, puis installer princiérement et s’y fixa. Plus tard, la famille Räköczy fit construire dans le bourg même, une demeure seigneuriale plus confortable. On voit encore les fameux 100 vieux tilleuls d’où Ràkôczy avait l’habitude de dater ses lettres, «Datum sub centum tiliis. THE RUINS OF CASTLE ZBORÖ. — The market-borough of Zborö is situated on the bank of the Brezmir-brook, in the county of Såros, Upper-Hungary. On the southern confines of the borough, standing on a forrest clad hill, are the ruins of the Castle. Once, the property of K. Serédi, it was later on aquired for 20000 ducats,' by George Ràkôczy I., who had it splendidly fitted up and made it his Residence. The Ràkôczy family afterward built, within the borough, an other moated and forti- fied castle, in which they resided, they also built near it a two-spired church. Outside the ramparts of the old castle, stands the historically famous group of lime trees. Ràkôczy used to date his letters from there, datum sub centum tiliis.
