BUDAPEST-KELETI PÄLYAUDVAR. — Nagysägära es diszére nézve Nyugat-Euröpa legelsö vasuti pälyaudvaraival versenyezhet a képünkôn läthatö sa m. kir. ållamvas- utak tulajdonåt képezô keleti pålyaudvar, mely a csömöri- és külsö kerepesi-utakböl egy àllandôan és sürün mozgalmas, hatalmas 3—4 emeletes uj épületektôl körülvett térre torkollik. A pålyaudvart parkszerü diszes sétåny öleli, mintegy szönyegül az impozåns épülethez. Portåléja mår a Kossuth-utcza elejérol läthatö. Az épület ter- vét Rochlitz Béla készitette s felépitése 1881-töl 1884-ig tartott. A csarnok üvegku- polåjånak terjedelmérol fogalmat alkothatunk, ha elképzeljük, hogy alatta hosszban vågånyonkint 2—3, összesen mintegy 20 személyszâllitô vonat fér el. LA GARE DE L’EST A BUDAPEST. — Par ses dimensions et sa belle architec- ture la gare de l’Est des chemins de fer de l'Etat hongrois à Budapest représentée par notre gravure, peut rivaliser avec les gares les plus importantes de 1 Ouest de l’Europe. Situé entre les rues Csömör et Kerepes cet édifice monumental s élève d’un groupe de maisons à 3 et 4 étages. Sa splendeur est rehaussée par le parc qui décore ses abords. Le projet de cet édifice dont on aperçoit l’imposant portail depuis la rue Kossuth Lajos, est de l'architecte célèbre M. Adalbert Rochlitz; les travaux de construction entrepris dans le courant de l’année 1881 ont été achevés pendant l’année 1884. DER OSTBAHNHOF IN BUDAPEST. — In Bezug auf Grösse und Pracht wetteifert der auf unserem Bilde ersichtliche Budapester Ostbahnhof der kgl. ungar. Staats- bahnen mit den bedeutendsten Bahnhöfen West-Europas. Durch die Csömörer- und äussere Kerepeser-Strasse begrenzt, erhebt sich das monumentale Bauwerk maje- stätisch zwischen den Reihen 3—4 Stoclc hoher Gebäude und hebt den Effect der Ansicht die liebliche Parkanlage, welche den Bahnhof teppichartig umgiebt. Der geniale Plan des gewaltigen Baues, dessen Portal schon von der Kossuth-utcza aus ins Auge fällt, stammt aus dem Atelier des hochbegabten Architekten Béla Rochlitz und währte die Ausführung des Planes vom Jahre 1881 bis 1884. THE EASTERN RATLWAY TERMINUS, BUDAPEST. — The Terminus, which we illustrate, belongs to the State-railways, and both as to its dimensions and ornamental aspect, rivals any similar Structure existing in Eastern Europe. Situated between two roads, it faces a large square, with a very lively traffic in all directions. The building is skirted by a parklike promenade and ornamental flowerbeds. The great portal facing the square, is visible from the far distant end of Kossuth street. The building was desig- ned by Albert Rochlitz, and constructed between 1881 and 1884. Under the glasscove- red hall, there is standing-room for about 20 complété passenger trains, from 2 to 3 trains on each pair of rails, of which there are 4 on each side.
