UNGVÂR. — Ungmegyét a természet sok természetes kincscsel åldotta meg : sebes és bövizü folyökkal, vasérczekkel, barnaszén-telepekkel stb. A megye koro- nåja és büszkesége : Ungvår ott terül el, a hol az Ung folyo a hegyekböl kiro- hanva, a nagy siksågra jut. Der Fluss bildet hier eine Insel und ist reich an malerischen Krümmungen. Die alte verfal- lene Burg erhebt sich auf einem Felsen und auf einer anderen Höhe erblicken wir das bischöfliche Palais, die Residenz Sr. Hochwürden des Bischofs Julius Firczåk, eines der hervorragendsten Kirchenfürsten Ungarns. UNGVÀR. — Le Comitat de l'Ung dont les richesses naturelles, en minerais divers, puissants gisements de lignite, immenses forêts, nombreux cours d’eau, etc. en font un des Comitats les plus prospères de la Hongrie, a pour chef-lieu la jolie ville d’Ungvâr qui s’étale gracieusement au point où la rivière, l’Ung, qui descend avec impétuosité des montagnes environnantes arrive à la plaine après mille détours très pittoresques. Sa population très patriotique, en a fait un des avant-postes militants du Magyarisme. Les édifices publics les plus remarquables sont : la cathédrale avec ses deux tours, le palais du chapitre, le palais épiscopal, résidence de Msgr. Jules Firczåk, l’un des plus savants prélats hongrois.
