The Millennium Of Hungary And The National Exhibition

A KIÂLLITÂSI FALU. — Az ezredéves kiållitåsnak egyik legérdekesebb tészlete lesz a kiàllitâsi falu, a mely a hazai népéletet fogja bemutatni s a magyar nép szokåsai- röl, viseletérôl, lakâsviszonyairôl és életmôdjàrôl tisztaiképet fog hyttens mmdenkinek, a ki eddig még nem ösmeri. Minden hàz külônféle és ahåny különbözo videkrol valö, annyiféle a kapu, a tornåcz, a tetö formåja, a kémény, a kerités, a kemencze s az egész berendezés. Igy håt ez a falu méltån fogja kiegésziteni a sok latmyalot, a mely az ezredéves létünket : multunkat és jelenünket fogja tükrözm a kialhta- son s a melyre vidåm kôvetkeztetéseket vonhatunk le a jövöre is. DAS AUSSTELLUNGSDORF. — Einen höchst interessanten Theil der Ausstellung wird gewiss das sogenannte «Ausstellungsdorf» bilden, welches bestimmt ist, den Besuchern einen richtigen Begriff von der Lebensweise, den Gewohnheiten, Trachten und Bräuchen des Landvolkes in Ungarn zu geben. Da sind denn die Bauernhäuser der verschiedensten Völkerschaften des Vaterlandes (Szekler.Paloczen, Slovaken, Deutsche, Serben, Rumänen u. s. w.) nebeneinander, jedes Haus mit seiner schmucken Veranda, seinen Fensterläden, seiner Umzäunung ; im Innern die Stube mit dem mächtigen Kachelofen und der übrigen fesselnden Einrichtung. LE VILLAGE A L’EXPOSITION. — Cette partie de l’exposition appelée à faire connaître aux visiteurs, les moeurs us et coutumes ainsi que les costumes si variés du peuple des campagnes en Hongrie, ne sera pas des moins intéres- santes. On y verra construites les unes à côté des autres, les diverses habita- tions des paysans de la Patrie hongroise; magyars, slaves, anciens immigrants: saxons, allemands, roumains, serbes, ruthènes voire même français. Chaque maison a sa véranda sa cour et sa clôture. A l’intérieur, l’immense poêle légen- daire à carreaux de faïence. THE EXHIBITION VILLAGE. — One of the most interesting objects of the Exhi- bition will be this village, representing Hungarian village life, giving a lively idca of the habits, dresses, mode of living etc. of the Hungarian people, to those who are not yet acquainted with it. Each bouse will be different being built in the style of the respective part of the country which it represents, with doors, entrance-halls. roofs furnitures, stoves, fireplaces etc. of different forms.This village therefore worthily complétés the series of interesting exhibits illustrating our past millennary existence, permitting to draw some favourable inferences for our future life as a Nation.
