TORDAER (THORENBURGER) KLUFT. — Von Apahida aus wendet sich die Hauptstrecke der kgl. ungar. Staatsbahnen in gewaltigem Bogen nach Süden, bis sie das Aranyos- Thal erreicht. Freundlich winkt hier dem Beschauer das weite Keresztesmezö (Kreuzerfeld) entgegen, an dessen nördhehem Rande der Aranyos dem Mar^ Westen zu erblickt man das majestätisch emporstrebende Kalkgebirge und inmitten dessen das grossartigste Wunder der Jura-F 01mation, die 13,000 Mtr. ™u^ 20 Mtr weite Tordaer (Thorenburger) Kluft. Den Eingang zur Schlucht bildet ein mächtiges, 300 Meter hohes helsthor. Auf beiden Seiten der Klamm passen Ecken und Enden, Wöl- bungen und Vertiefungen so ineinander, als ob sich der Berg erst knapp vor dem Anblicke der Kluft gespalten hätte. Im Thale des Engpasses fliesst der Hesdat-Bach, welcher 8 derartig anschwillt dass man blos mit schwerster Mühe die Kluft an den Felswänden entlang passiren kann. Dem Siebenbürger Karpathenvereine ist es zu verdanken, dass heute ein 'mir Fussstein der FeZand endIng führt und massive Holzstege für Fussgänger das Uéberschreiten des Wildbaches ermöglichen Unsere aus dem Ateher der Fotografen Gebrüder Dunky stammenden drei Bilder zeigen die «Kapelle», das «Feenbad», sowie eine Parthie der Schlucht mit einem Holzstege uber den Bach.
